On the name
Hundreds of small blooms, one form.
Ammi majus — False Queen Anne's Lace — is a wild umbel that grows almost everywhere and is noticed almost nowhere. Alicia first truly saw it on the coast of Corsica, on the trip that became this studio. In the language of flowers it means sanctuary and refuge.
Its structure is the point: hundreds of small blooms holding one another into a single form. Atelier is simply where skilled hands work.

Nothing in nature is symmetrical. We preserve at the peak, the way a memory is held carefully rather than frozen.
